Discover Samantha Rae
Hi! My name is Samantha, and I’m a singer-songwriter from San Juan Capistrano, California. I’ve been passionate about writing and creating music ever since I was a kid. Since then, I’ve released four singles and my first EP, available on Spotify and Apple Music, and I’m constantly working on new music. I’m currently hoping to release another single this fall.
My music has been featured on 104.7 KXFM Radio in Laguna Beach, CA, as well as The American Dream, a television show highlighting culture and real estate in Orange County. I’m currently attending the University of California, Berkeley, where I’m continuing to pursue my passion for music while exploring new opportunities to perform, collaborate, and connect with other artists.
The Story Behind The Music
I’ve been pursuing music ever since I was a kid. I was raised in San Juan Capistrano and started music lessons under Felisha Dunne, a local musician and music teacher in Laguna Beach. I got my first guitar when I was 12, and my songwriting really began to take off.
I met and started collaborating with producer and musician Tommy Benson in 2022 and released my very first single, “Carousel Ride,” in August of 2023. Since then, I’ve released three other singles and just recently released my first extended-play album with the help of the extremely talented producer and musician Dave Sherman, who works for Laguna Sound Studio.
I’ve performed live at several venues, including XZBT Studios in Fullerton, CA, and Alza’s Italian Restaurant in Rancho Santa Margarita. I’m hoping to do some more shows in the coming months when I return home over the holidays and/or this coming summer. I’m also looking for potential opportunities to perform in the Bay Area!
